About the event

    Tinker Garden is where little ones will come into the Garden under the Oaks and learn while playing. Using their senses, they will be able to see, touch, smell and taste some of the herbs and other plants growing there. 

  Your little one will be able to dig for worms in our worm garden, make something "delicious" in the mud kitchen, learn how plants grow, watch butterflies in our butterfly garden and much more.

10/2- Pumpkins, seeds, making Oobleck

10/9- Shucking Corn, how corn grows

10/16- Fall smell playdoh, decorating with seeds

10/23- Pipe cleaner weaving with pine cones

10/30- Decorate small pumpkin

11/6- Paint an autumn tree

11/13- Make music with corn shakers 

11/27- Exploring seeds

12/4- DIY playdoh 

12/11- Lets make snow!

12/18-  Feed the snow man

2024

1/8-  Lets plant a flower

1/15- Nature painting

1/22- Nature Scavanger hunt!

1/29- Build a bird nest

The remaining classes and activites will be announced soon

 

**Gardening gloves are not included but are recommended as we will be getting our hands into good soil!

Additional Information

What to wear

-  Play clothes

-  Closed Toed shoes

-  Sunscreen / Bug Repellant

-  Hat / Sunglasses

What not to wear

-  Anything you don’t want to get dirty

-  Open toed shoes

-  Clothing with tassels / frays/ hanging string etc.

Please bring bottled water &  a change of clothes.

Under Florida law, an agritourism operator is not liable for injury or death of, or damage or loss to, a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such injury, death, damage, or loss results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury, death, damage, or loss. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

Parents must stay onsite and supervise their child(ren) for the entirety of each class.

Many of our animals free-range. This includes chickens, turkeys, ducks, farm cats & 2 livestock guardian dogs, all of which are used to visitors. We do have active Honey Bee Hives on our farm, which are clerarly marked and a safe distamnce from our classroom.

Parents are responsible for the full tuition, regardless if your child is able to attend every date in their Farm School session. Refunds will ONLY be issued if an emergency prevents participation in both scheduled class days within a session.

Class sizes are set to a minumum of 5 and a maximum of 15 students 

Guests are responsible for full tuition, regarless of their ability to attend every class within the 4 week session. Make-up classes will only be offered in the event of inclement weather. 

  • Pre-registration is required. 
  • This is an OUTDOOR class, please dress accordingly and wear appropriate footwear.
  • This is a working farm with livestock and other animals, a signed Release of Liability & Waiver are required from all guests.
