Social Butterflies

Social emotional learning is about children understanding and recognizing their feelings. Children can then learn how to communicate those feelings, problem solve and have positive interactions with their peers. Children can identify things that make them happy, sad, angry or frustrated.

In this time together, we will read a variety of books that relate to real-life situations children might face. We will role play ways we can communicate our feelings to others. We will play games that build upon teamwork, self-control and communication skills. We will participate in activities that develop leadership skills and teamwork skills. And we will practice positive ways to handle tough feelings through a variety of activities.
