About the event

In this monthly class, will study and learn about a variety of heritage breed animals, some of which we raise here on the farm. We will explore the region the animals originated and the time period they were first discovered. We will investigate how these breeds differ from others, what they have in common, how they benefit a Farm/ Homestead and if they are currently in need of conservation. 

The schedule will run as follows:

October: Pigs

November: Rabbits

January: Sheep

February: Poultry & Game Fowl

March: Cattle 

Please bring bottled water.

You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

Many of our animals free-range. This includes chickens, turkeys, ducks, farm cats & 2 livestock guardian dogs, all of which are used to visitors. We do have active Honey Bee Hives on our farm, which are clerarly marked and a safe distance from our classroom.

Class sizes are set to a minumum of 5 and a maximum of 15 students
