About the event
 I will be teaching 6 gardening classes this season, you can join all 6 or just come to any that would interest you child. All my classes are all hands on learning, every class your child will take home a new plant or seeds to grow and care for at home. My goal is to teach kids to love the outdoors and learn to grow your own food. Every child will help with garden chores and help me take care of The Garden at Whispering Oaks farms, as well as fun gardening craft activities. This class is best for ages 6-12. Parents are welcome to drop off or stay and learn along side us.Â
 Our sensory garden will be open to any siblings who are to young to participate.Â

January 28th- Composting/Vermicomposting Â
February 25th- Bulid your own Fairy/Dinosaur gardenÂ
March 25th- Propagating Kitchen ScrapsÂ
April 29th- Making self watering plantersÂ
May 27th- Harvesting- making guacamoleÂ

What to wear
- Â Play clothes
- Â Closed Toed shoes
- Â Sunscreen / Bug Repellant
- Â Hat / Sunglasses
**Gardening gloves are not included but are recommended as we will be getting our hands into good soil!
What not to wear
-  Anything you don’t want to get dirty
- Â Open toed shoes
- Â Clothing with tassels / frays/ hanging string etc.
Please bring bottled water & Â a change of clothes.
Release of Liability Waiver: Â A signed Waiver & Realase of Liability is required to participate. All visitors are subject to the Florida Agritourism operator laws. FLA. Stat. 570.88 - 570.89. Under Florida law, an agritourism operator is not liable for injury or death of, or damage or loss to, a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such injury, death, damage, or loss results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury, death, damage, or loss. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
Parents must stay onsite and supervise their child(ren) for the entirety of each class.
Many of our animals free-range. This includes chickens, turkeys, ducks, farm cats & 2 livestock guardian dogs, all of which are used to visitors. We do have active Honey Bee Hives on our farm, which are clerarly marked and a safe distamnce from our classroom.
Parents are responsible for the full tuition, regardless if your child is able to attend every date in their Farm School session. Refunds will ONLY be issued if an emergency prevents participation in both scheduled class days within a session.
Class sizes are set to a minumum of 5 and a maximum of 10 studentsÂ
Guests are responsible for full tuition, regarless of their ability to attend every class . Make-up classes will only be offered in the event of inclement weather.Â
- Pre-registration is required.Â
- This is an OUTDOOR class, please dress accordingly and wear appropriate footwear.
- This is a working farm with livestock and other animals, a signed Release of Liability & Waiver are required from all guests.
